Mutape is an electronics marketplace for Zimbabwe. Start a chat about what you want and we take it to the sellers nearby who stock it. They answer with their prices; you deal with whoever you like.

Find it
Search or browse the catalogue. If it isn't listed, start a chat anyway and describe it - “I need a 27-inch monitor in Harare” is enough.

Check the going rate
Where three or more sellers in your city have priced a product, we show their average, new and used kept apart. Where fewer have, we show nothing rather than guess.

Start a chat
We send it to sellers near you who stock it, nearest first, and widen the search if too few reply. You can also pick sellers yourself from the map on a product page.

Talk, then decide
Each seller answers in their own thread, and none of them can see the others. Agree the price and delivery with whoever you like, and pay them directly.

What we don't do
We don’t set prices. Every figure on the site comes from what sellers have actually asked buyers.
We don’t take your money. You pay the seller directly, in whatever way the two of you agree.
We don’t hold stock or deliver. The seller you deal with does both, and names their own delivery cost.
We don’t hand out your number. Sellers see your name and roughly where you are - not your phone number or address.

Someone nearby has already said what they want. Their chat lands in your Mutape inbox - there is no shopfront to build and nothing to list.
Reply in your own words
No quote forms. Write “I have it, $240, delivery $10” and we read the price from the message.
Only the buyers you can serve
You choose your categories, the condition you sell (new, refurbished, used) and, if you like, brands. You are only sent - and only charged for - chats that match.
Your price stays yours
Other sellers never see your messages. Publicly we show the area average across three or more sellers, and your own price only as a rounded band on the map.

One fee, for one thing: putting a buyer in front of you. Nothing else is charged.

Charged when a buyer's chat reaches you, whether or not you make the sale. The same whether we match them to you or they pick you on the map.
